Pixlr is web-based photo-editing application similar to such desktop programs as Adobe Photoshop or GIMP.

The program allows you to upload images from your PC, from a URL address or to start a new project from scratch.

It is amazingly similar to Photoshop, not just in appearance, but also in terms of its features: ability freely to perform transformations, to apply levels, to edit using layering, history of actions, styles of layers, to navigate by coordinates, filters, rasterization of layers, curves colour adjustment, etc.

The keyboard shortcuts are also similar to those on Photoshop, as are the function controls for the program.

By providing all of this, Pixlr is turning into one of the major web-based alternatives to the traditional photo-editing programs.
